La première fois que nous avons rencontré Brodinski, c'était il y a quelques années à Londres. Je suivais Poni Hoax en tournée et nous avions atterri chez Erol Alkan qui nous avait gentiment proposé son canapé pour la nuit. Un gamin a surgi dans le salon et nous l'avons d'abord pris pour son fils avant qu'il ne s'exprime en français. C'était Brodinski. Depuis, Louis Rogé (son vrai nom) a grandi et est devenu "Le petit prince de l'électro made in France", tout en restant ce kid malicieux qui avait traversé notre dérive londonienne.

A kid appeared in the living room and at first we thought it was his son before he began to speak in French. It was Brodinski. Hydre bicéphale parlant d'une seule voix (mais mixant à quatre mains), Renaissance Man naît en 2007 de la rencontre de Jaxxon et Downtown dans un cabinet d'architecture d'Helsinki. La house music conjugue alors pour eux la poésie de l'angle droit et celle des boules à facettes, et le dancefloor devient la plaque tournante de leurs obsessions. En simplifiant à l'extrême les règles du code de la route, ils ont réussi deux maxis (portés par les bombes "Spraycan" et "What is Guru") qui ramènent la musique de club à l'essentiel : ferveur et fonctionnalité.
